Summer and winter

My word of the week is Summer!

This week has been really sunny and it has been lovely to be able to get out into the sun and just lay on the grass and relax.  It is so nice to know that summer is really here now and there is so much to look forward to.  It has been lovely having BBQ's and getting the paddling pool out.  Nice to know that in the morning you can hang the washing out and then go to the park.  It is better than in the winter when you are trapped indoors and you are really bored and there is nothing to do.

The summer means a lot to me, so does winter.  Even though it can be boring when it is winter it means you can learn a lot more.  Learn new things and find out things that you never knew existed.  In the winter you can snuggle up on the sofa and watch a film with a nice hot chocolate.  But in the summer you can't.
There are good things about both, summer and winter.  And without one you might not know some of the things you know now.
This is why we should always try and find the good things in everything.  It just makes life more happy.

  1. So true, Honey. I love summer, too, and find it freeing and exciting, but then, with winter there is snuggling & Christmas - we need them both! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
